What is a corporate action?
A corporate action (corporate action) is an event that may change the parameters of financial instrument accounts, e.g. general shareholders’ meeting decisions on the issue/split/consolidation of financial instruments, payment of dividends or interest, and other events initiated by or dependent on the will of the issuer or another person.
What is the difference between mandatory (mandatory) and voluntary (choice / voluntary) corporate actions?
A mandatory (mandatory) corporate action is an event initiated by the issuer in which all holders of the financial instruments participate automatically, i.e. without a separate expression of will.
A voluntary (choice / voluntary) corporate action is an event in which you can choose of your own will whether or not to participate.
Can Myriad capital advise me whether to participate in a corporate action?
Myriad capital can only help you better understand the nature of the corporate action so that you can make the decision that is right for you. However, the decision whether to participate must be made solely by you, because each person’s investment portfolio and other relevant circumstances differ, so Myriad capital cannot assess the tax consequences of the event or its other impact on your investment objectives.
Do you need to monitor your account and important information about corporate actions?
By deciding to invest in financial instruments, you also undertake to look after your investments, follow the related information and, taking into account the circumstances relevant to you, make timely decisions on buying/selling financial instruments. This includes information on corporate actions. Myriad capital makes efforts to help you receive information related to corporate actions.
